Visioneering a Preferred Future

Chief among the human attributes for attaining the objective of a peaceful and sustainable future is imagination, in particular the capability to vision a preferred future then act to bring it about.

In the second half of the 20th century the need for a new collective imagining became increasingly apparent as the power of technology and its impact on human well-being rose to high levels of concern.

Out of this a new discipline of futurism emerged, which has spawned an extensive literature. The best of this provides credible guidance for the future.

Inspired by the novel, The Visioneers: A Courage Story of Belief in the Future (1992) by Desmond Berghofer, the Network is grounded in the belief that people working together with consciousness in synchrony can create a preferred future for humanity.

The approach of the Visioneers Network is to build interactive platforms that can inspire and promote collaboration.

Chief among these platforms is the Visioneers Virtual Exposition

Modelled on the concept of international exhibitions in which countries promote themselves through pavilions, this virtual exposition showcases many examples of the good work that individuals and projects are doing to improve prospects for the future and opens up channels for communication and mentorship to multiply the good work.

From this foundation, the Network is well placed to offer leadership in the imperative to create a peaceful and sustainable future. Recognizing the urgent need for the world to move forward on this agenda, It has identified many extraordinary individuals as global thought leaders and brought their work together as the foundation of required knowledge for citizens of the 21st century.

So, the foundation is laid for a major initiative to begin in the 2020s to shift the consciousness of a critical mass of people on Earth to enable the creation of a global civilization that will endure past any threat of breakdown or collapse. An action plan to achieve this outcome is described below.

The upshift to a higher level of global consciousness will have begun. The Song of Transcendence will be swelling in volume across the world. Everywhere, the possibility for a successful transition out of chaos into coherence will be in evidence. Will the certainty of securing unity consciousness on Earth have been attained? No, because that will always be a work in progress, but the potential for attainment will be so much stronger. The groundwork for building a safe and secure future for humanity and restoring the natural splendour and beauty of the planet will have been laid.

So, let us commit now in the decade of the 2020s to taking on the task. Let us embrace the wisdom of our global thought leaders and build humanity’s golden peace. For every bad action that would hold us back, let us raise ten thousand flags for good, and let our energy not falter or diminish in the face of what might seem like impossible odds. For we know that we are in the grip of an evolutionary impulse that has created a universe whose magnificence we are only just beginning to explore.

We are travellers on the road to the secrets of the cosmos. The Song of Transcendence is on our lips and in our hearts. Our destiny is to play among the stars. So, let us begin and do all that we can on our leg of the journey then pass the torch to those who follow who will shine in the glory of what we have accomplished. So let it be done.
