Dr. Owen Anderson is a political scientist, educator, futurist, author and musician with decades of policy experience advising politicians and business leaders.
Dr. Anderson received his PhD from the University of Alberta in 1972, in Political Science. He went on to do post-doctoral research in governance and policy at the Hudson Institute in New York, and has collaborated with a number of institutes including the Centre for the Study of Democratic Institutions in Santa Barbara California, the Banff School of Advanced Management, and the Vancouver School of Theology, as well as advising numerous Canadian premiers and cabinet ministers. Dr. Anderson currently works with the Hawthorne Consulting Corp. to provide strategic leadership advice and international management consulting services.
Dr. Owen Anderson has been awarded numerous accolades in the past few decades of public and private service for his good work projects, including the Canada Medal (1993), presented by the Governor-General of Canada for outstanding public service, and the Vancouver Board of Trade Chairman’s Award, and Award of Distinction (2012).
