Since 2011, Michael has been fostering the growth of artists and creative community on a local, regional, and global scale. He has literally walked over 4000 miles of Canada over an 8 year tour called “I’d Rather Walk,” sharing songs and encouraging others to share their stories on his way. His unorthodox musical travels as a wandering minstrel, fused with his past experience as an exercise/wellness coach has provided Michael a unique blend of field knowledge, wisdom, and a well practiced ability to communicate it to others.
He has helped hundreds of artists along on their path through his workshops and mentoring, and is committed to deepening that journey with Write Songs You Love.
“Michael has a pied piper quality to him. He is a community builder, scene creator, and movement organizer. He is a teacher and inspirational leader that has the ability to gather the arts community around him, and take them in directions they might not achieve on their own.”
