Matt is an experienced business and non-profit leader with more than 15 years in food related business and interests in sustainable food systems, strategic communication design and production, facilitation & leadership, arts and culture promotion, public policy and financial management.
He is passionate about economic empowerment, community engagement, and progressive, people first business.
Currently Matt is the Administrative Director for Sole Food Street Farms, a social enterprise aimed at modelling sustainable urban agriculture and providing meaningful employment to people who are facing barriers to traditional employment.
In his spare time he sits on the organizing committee for Media Democracy Days and is researching a business plan for an innovative cooperative food-service business model.
