Founder and Headmaster, St. Regis Secondary School, Vancouver B.C.

Paul Hsu is an educator, social innovator, and entrepreneur dedicated to nurturing the next generation of global citizens. As Founder and Headmaster of St. Regis Secondary School in Vancouver, British Columbia, Paul has built a university-style independent high school distinguished by academic excellence, social inclusion, and pathways to higher education. His vision is to create a learning environment that cultivates intellectual curiosity, character, and compassion— empowering students to thrive as leaders in an interconnected world.

A graduate of the University of British Columbia (B.A. 2006, M.A. 2008), Paul brings a deep appreciation for cultural understanding and global awareness to his educational philosophy. His leadership extends beyond the classroom; he currently serves as CEO of New Castle Japan Investment, an investment firm specializing in asset acquisition and real estate development across Asia and North America. Paul also serves as Vice-President of the International Foundation of Learning, a reputable Canadian non-profit organization that, since 1983, brings together outstanding scientists in education, psychology, and neuroscience with leaders in education. Paul’s work focuses on education development and community outreach, integrating education, business, and community service in ways that strengthen social fabric and opportunity.

Under his guidance, St. Regis has become known for its commitment to excellence and access — providing scholarships to students from diverse backgrounds while preparing graduates for top international universities. Paul’s work reflects a belief that education is both a privilege and a responsibility: a sacred trust to cultivate wisdom, integrity, and a sense of shared humanity.
